The Book of Philippians is a letter written by the Apostle Paul to the Church in Philippi, a city in Macedonia. It is one of the most personal and intimate letters in the New Testament, filled with warmth and affection for the church and its members.
Paul encourages the members of the church to live in harmony with one another and to put aside their personal differences for the sake of the gospel.
He writes, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves” (Philippians 2:3). He encourages them to pray without ceasing and to bring all their requests to God. He writes, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6).
It is a Book about:
- Humility
- Servanthood
- Harmony
- Gratitude
A message relevant today. A message often taken for granted. We focus on what we lack rather than what we have.
